Ithaca, the web site of Claudio Pagliara
Seen from outside, the Middle East is frightening. The list of troubles doesn’t stop to lengthen: the Iranian bomb, the threats of destruction that weighs on Israel, the increasingly divided Palestinians who are still without a State, the Lebanon on the brink of a new civil war, Iraq and Afghanistan chaos, terrorism always indomitable. Describing this turbulent reality, television and newspapers tend to simplify it: West against East, radical against moderates, occupied against occupants. This web site responds to the desire to go beyond the clamorous headlines.
It intends to open a window on the daily life of women and men of this region of the world and share with you my personal journey, a journey of a reporter who lives on the edge of an epochal conflict.
